Nature Quest Tent

This view of the outside shows the fire, and the hollowed log, where we demonstrated the native American Indian method of boiling down maple sap to sugar using hot rocks.

Speaking of native skills, here’s Tomahawk throwing.  This was a huge hit!  Kathunk!

Anyone can learn it, and there’s something really special about chucking a sharp object.

Then, there’s Bill.  Our elk guide is truly multitalented, especially when he and Chef Shannon conspire.  This is cornbread on chili and maple chicken, both cooked in dutch ovens from the campfire.  Yum.

Oh, and the carvings.  Many were amazing!
